Photography For cool humans that are passionate, willing to be vulnerable, love to laugh, and are madly in love

“Emily was such a pleasure to work with, and our photos came out absolutely beautiful. She is a master of creating and capturing natural moments, something that we really wanted for our engagement session. We were hoping to just get a handful of photos that we really loved, but we ended up with dozens - so many that we can't choose between them. I cannot recommend Emily enough. Thank you!”

 FAQs

How do you handle the chaos of the wedding day?

I meet with my clients the week before the wedding to make sure I have all the necessary details, from the schedule of events to the shot list. I take the lead wrangling and arranging the big group portraits. I also scout locations ahead of time so that you have nothing to worry about. Being as prepared as possible allows me to keep the day on schedule and adapt quickly when things change—as they always do!

Do you offer other photography services?

Yes! I’m down to shoot all types of events and portrait sessions. Last year I shot a baptism, a 90th birthday party, a quinceanera, and a fundraising event where brave souls scaled down the side of a skyscraper for Make-A-Wish, just to name a few. I’ve also done family portraits, maternity photos, and professional headshots. Feel free to reach out and tell me a little about your project for specific pricing.

Should we do an engagement session?

If you want to! About half of my clients opt to do one with me, some are not interested in doing an engagement session, and some already have theirs done before booking me. If you’re on the fence, there are a couple of benefits of an engagement session beyond capturing this special stage in your relationship and having some awesome save-the-date photos. First, an engagement session gives you the opportunity to work with your photographer and get to know them before spending your big day with them. Second, it allows you two to practice being in front of a camera so that you will feel more prepared, confident, and relaxed when taking photos on the day of your wedding.

I’m interested. What would the next steps look like?

First, we would set up a 30-minute video chat so that we can get to know each other and you can get a feel for whether I am a good fit for your needs. From there, take all the time you need to make a decision! Your date will be marked on my calendar so I can check in with you two first before moving forward with any couples inquiring about your date. Then, if you make the decision to commit, you would then sign the electronic contract and put down a 25% retainer via a secure online payment platform to officially book your date. Finally, thirty days prior to your event, the remaining balance is due and we would begin chatting again to plan all the final photography details together.

Do you shoot solo? What happens if you can’t make it to the wedding?

I shoot solo for most events, though packages with second shooters are available and recommended depending on your event! The second photographer would be one of my trusted colleagues who owns their own business, shoots in the same style that I do, and is available on the date of your event. In the case I cannot make it to your wedding, which would only happen in extraordinary circumstances (and has never happened, to date!), I would do my best to access this network of trusted professionals to find a suitable replacement.

Have you shot/do you shoot LGBTQ+ weddings?

Yes and absolutely, 1000% yes! All love is welcome.
